PHELAN, Ca. – A shooting that left one man dead near Wagon Trail Road near State Highway 138 and the suspect(s) remain outstanding at this time.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at around 5:08 p.m., sheriff’s dispatch received the report of a shooting. The reporting party said that after hearing multiple shots being heard, he found a man with at least one gunshot wound. Deputies responded and found the deceased man. Homicide investigators responded to the scene to assume the investigation.
“Witnesses reported seeing a dark colored sport utility vehicle in the area at the time of the shooting,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said. The name of the victim is not yet being released. Detectives are seeking information from anyone who may have information about the incident.
