Man Lost His Life After Colliding into a Victorville Light Pole

VICTORVILLE – A crash into a light pole on Del Gado Road at 4:54 p.m. on Monday, September 5th took the life of a 56-year-old Chula Vista man.

Authorities said that the driver of the grey 1994 Acura Integra was traveling eastbound on Palmdale Road at a high rate of speed causing him to  lose control east of El Evado Road.  His vehicle crashed into a concrete light pole on the southwest corner of Del Gado Road.

Driver, Ramon Valadez was rushed to Victor Valley Global Medical Center in preparation to be airlifted but he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 5:43 p.m. There were no other vehicles or vehicle occupants involved in the collision.

Victorville Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that speed was the only noted factor in the crash at this time.
The San Bernardino County Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
