APPLE VALLEY – A man who was driving under the influence of drugs was arrested after crashing his van into an Apple Valley donut shop.
On Friday, November 23, 2018, at around 7:40 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to the Sunrise Donuts located at 21691 Yucca Loma for the report of a traffic collision. When they arrived they located a white Chevy Astrovan inside of the business. Officials said that David Joseph Miller, 29, of Barstow, lost control of his vehicle causing him to crash into the glass front of the donut shop. Miller was found to be under the influence of drugs and he was subsequently arrested. The donut shop was closed at the time of the crash.
