SAN BERNARDINO – A man was arrested for unlawfully gaining access inside the jail Sunday morning. On July 31st, Shane McDonald, an unincarcerated man, was witness scaling the perimeter fence at the jail, officials said.
McDonald, who was found to have an active warrant for his arrest, was contacted and taken into custody. Jail officials reviewed video surveillance for insight as to why McDonald was scaling the fence and learned that he had entered the county yard of the jail.
McDonald was booked into jail for trespassing and for his warrant arrest. This investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have additional information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Department or make an anonymous call to WeTip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
