MENIFEE – Deputies from the Menifee station made contact with a male subject walking on Silverwood Lane cross of Quail Bluff Drive in the City of Menifee on Friday morning.
While making contact, they noticed that Edward Mora, 44, of Menifee was carrying an unopened UPS box. Upon further investigation, they noticed that the box was addressed to a name other than Mora’s and was delivered to a home in the 25000 block of Silverwood Lane.
Deputies learned that the stolen parcel containing a holiday package for the family, was taken from the victim’s porch. Mora was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center for mail theft. The package was returned by deputies to its rightful owner.
Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call Deputy Beeman or Deputy Girard at the Menifee Sheriff Station at (951) 210-1000, or by email at PerrisStation@RiversideSheriff.org.
