MORENO VALLEY – An 18-year-old Moreno Valley man was arrested for attempted murder on Thursday. On the morning of Saturday, December 31, 2016, officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to the 15000 block of Eleanor Lane for the report of a man suffering from a stab wound. When they arrived they located the man lying in the street suffering from a serious stab wound.
The victim was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition. The suspect fled the scene of the stabbing. Through investigation, Moreno Valley Police were able to identify the suspect as Hugo Sanchez-Alonzo. On Thursday, January 5, 2017, at around 4:15 p.m., Hugo Sanchez-Alonzo was arrested on Sultan Street in Moreno Valley.
He was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted murder. His brother, Augustin Sanchez-Alonzo, 21, also of Moreno Valley for conspiracy after the fact. He was also booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
