Moreno Valley Man Arrested for Beating His Roommate’s Small Dog to Death

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. – A 24-year-old Moreno Valley man was arrested for animal cruelty after killing his roommate’s Chihuahua mix dog.


On Sunday, January 13, 2019, officers responded to the report that Li Haoming, 24, of Moreno Valley, had killed his roommate’s dog in the 13000 block of Acacia Avenue. When officers arrived they located “Rescue”, the deceased dog. They determined that the dog died as a result of blunt force trauma to his head. Officers learned that the home surveillance captured the assault on Rescue.

Li Haoming was arrested and booked at the Robert Presely Detention Center. He was being held in lieu of $10,000. Moreno Valley Police said that crimes like the crime, Li Haoming allegedly committed, are taken very seriously.
