MORENO VALLEY – A 23-year-old Moreno Valley man was arrested following a carjacking, kidnapping, and assault on Friday morning. At around 8:20 a.m. a 55-year-old female victim reported the incident that occurred in the 12000 block Willow Tree Avenue in the City of Moreno Valley. The woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident, and the suspect, Jacob Valasquez fled prior to police officers arriving.
Authorities said that Velasquez made threats to law enforcement agencies and posted threatening messages on social media. Velasquez was located at around 11:50 p.m. Friday night in the 17000 block of Lake Perris Drive in the City of Perris. Velasquez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in the City of Riverside.
