Moreno Valley Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. – A 21-year-old Moreno Valley man was arrested for possession of child pornography.


Investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department were notified of possibly child pornography manufacturing and distribution within the City of Moreno Valley. The investigation resulted in a top from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. At around 9:00 p.m., investigators responded to the home in the 15400 block of Perris Boulevard in the City of Moreno Valley and made contact with suspect, Jaime Smead. 

The investigation determined that Smead was in possession of the exploited content and responsible for the social media post. The juvenile in the images was located safe and was unaware of the exploited content. Smead was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for Possession of Child Pornography.
