VICTORVILLE – A mother was arrested after her three small children were left unsupervised in a vehicle in the sweltering heat on Wednesday afternoon. At around 12:25 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the 15400 block of Vallejo Street for the report that the one male toddler and three female toddlers were left inside a vehicle for around 30 minutes during an approximately 100-degree day.
When deputies arrived they found a three-year-old female, two-year-old males, and a one-year-old male, who were locked inside a vehicle. The vehicle was turned off with all of the windows up authorities said. The kids were all in the back seat and there were no car seats inside the vehicle. Danessha Janee Williams, 28, of Los Angeles noticed the deputies and attempted to leave with the children still in the backseat without car seats. Williams was detained without incident and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Child Cruelty and are scheduled to appear in the Victorville Superior Court on July 7, 2017.
The children suffered no ill effects as a result of the incident and were released to a family member.
