FONTANA – A motorcycle crashed in the intersection of Miller and Mango Avenues in the City of Fontana after attempting to flee pursuing officers on Thursday. The officers attempted to make a traffic stop of the motorcycle for reckless driving on Thursday afternoon when the rider failed to yield. As a sedan crossed the Miller and Mango Avenue intersection legally, the motorcycle ran the stop sign and slammed into it.
“The rider suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition,” Fontana Police officials said. “The driver of sedan suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.” The intersection was closed for several hours so that the collision could be investigated.
