POMONA, Calif. – Nearly 20 arrests were made during a Pomona prostitution sting operation on Friday night.
The arrests ranged from men 19 to 91-years-old from San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties; with one from out of state, authorities said. The operation took place on the Holt Corridor, also known as the “Blade” in the City of Pomona from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. with undercover female police officers posing as prostitutes. The target of the operation is to catch “John’s” who were seeking out sex acts in exchange for money.
Several “John’s” driving the Blade pulled their vehicle’s over to negotiate the purchase of sex acts from the undercover officers. “Once the deal was complete, a signal was provided to an arrest team that contacted the “John,” and arrested him,” Police officials said. The operation yielded 18 arrests and 15 vehicle impounds.

Heffern, Gerald, 91 years old Diamond Bar, CA.
Rangel, Ricardo, 35 years old, Baldwin Park, CA.
Engrande, Marino, 40 years old, Bloomington, CA.
Blancas, Hugo, 40 years old, Rialto, CA.
Flores, Gilbert, 28 years old, Pomona, CA
Jankowski, Jarek, 39 years old, Corona, CA.
Magana, Nino, 22 years old, Fontana, CA.
Sanchez, Jaime, 31 years old, Moreno Valley, CA.
Castello, Alejandro, 25 years old, Montclair, CA.
Barragan, Ramiro, 58 years old, Pomona, CA.
Linarez, Jose, 26 years old, Ontario, CA.
