A New Zealand woman caught a low-speed chase in the Town of Timaru between a man on a mobility scooter and the police on Wednesday.
The wild scene was captured as the woman was driving with her young son riding as a passenger in her vehicle. The man shown on the video uses his mobility scooter to get around since he is a double amputee. He said that he was in a hurry to get home, when he saw the police officer with his lights and sirens.
The New Zealand Police officer was only attempting to stop the man, identified as Charlie Durham, to warn him about the unsafe use of his motor scooter.
Aleisha Candy shared the video via Facebook on Wednesday afternoon. Her and her son laughed throughout the video and cheered for the man riding on his mobility scooter.
Durham eventually got stuck and blocked into a driveway where he received two tickets, one for his reckless scooter operation and the other for leading the police on the pursuit.
