BARSTOW, CA. – One suspect was arrested and a second remain at large after the robbery of a Barstow Tommy Hilfiger outlet store on Monday.
At around 7:06 p.m., police responded to a theft in progress at the store located at 2796 Tanger Way. The reporting party said that the suspects stole dozens of items before fleeing the store. The employees attempted to stop them by standing by the door but the suspects threatened the employee with pepper spray if they did not move. They suspects fled in Nissan Sentra with black custom rims.
The suspect vehicle was located near Barstow Road and East Virginia Way. As the officer approached the vehicle. Both suspects ran from the vehicle. The officer checked the vehicle and located multiple stolen Tommy Hilfiger items. A perimeter in the area was established and one of the occupants, Carlos Molina, was located as he attempted to escape the perimeter. An in-field was conducted and Molina was positively identified as the suspect involved in the robbery.
Molina was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Robbery. One suspect in this investigation is still outstanding. The suspect is a black male adult approximately 6 feet tall, with a slender build and black hair. He was wearing a navy colored sweater with a large “Z” on the front, black sweat pants and brown shoes.
