ADELANTO – One man died and a second was airlifted following a shooting in the 15000 block of Christopher Street in the City of Adelanto on Friday.
At 8:25 p.m. dispatchers began receiving calls reporting approximately a dozen shots fired followed by screaming that someone had been shot. When deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived they located one male subject inside a white Chrysler 300 who suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his head.
A second male victim was also shot multiple times and was inside the home. The injured victim was transported by ground to Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) in preparation to be airlifted to a trauma hospital where he was rushed into emergency surgery.
The suspect information remains unclear at this time and there is no information regarding the motive. Christopher Street was closed from Winter Place to Golden Street to protect the integrity of the crime scene.
