Ontario Police Are Seeking the Public’s Help to Identify Hit and Run Suspect

ONTARIO – Authorities are seeking the identity of a driver involved in a vehicle versus pedestrian collision that killed a 75-year-old Ontario resident on Thursday.

On November 8, 2018, the elderly male pedestrian was struck by a plum-colored 2004-2006 Scion XB as he crossed Mountain Avenue at Flora Street in the City of Ontario. Rather than stopping to aid the severely injured man, the driver continued to drive south on N. Mountain Avenue. The male victim, later identified as Guillermo Manzo, was determined to be dead at the scene.

Authorities said that the vehicle should have damage to the front. Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to call the Ontario Police Department at 909-986-6711, or Detective Fred Ruiz at 909-408-1808. A photograph a similar type vehicle is attached. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling WE-TIP at 800-78-CRIME or on-line at www.wetip.com.
