CHINO HILLS – Over 150 marijuana plants were located on a Chino Hills property on Wednesday authorities said. At approximately 8:45 a.m. investigators from the Sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Team, the City of Chino Hills Code Enforcement Division, and the Chino Hills Police Department serves a search warrant at a home at 4321 Foxrun Drive.
When they arrived at the home they made contact and detained Michael Nguyen, 26, and Sheryl Nguyen, 28. During the search, they located 157 marijuana plants on the property and 16 pounds of processed marijuana. Code Enforcement officers also found numerous building code violations, which require further investigation. The City of Chino Hills has an ordinance prohibiting marijuana cultivation within the city limits.
The report was submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for review and filing of possible charges against the suspects.
