PALMDALE – A man who beat a toddler to death has been found guilty of the crime and his girlfriend at the time, who was also the toddler’s mother was found guilty of delaying medical treatment for the injured child. The Palmdale couple were in court on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, facing charged for the killing of the 23-month-old boy, three years ago.
Brandon Jerel Williams, 27, was found guilty of first-degree murder, one count each of torture and assault on a child causing death. Rosie Lee Wilson, 23, was convicted of second-degree murder for not seeking medical care for the child and child abuse.
Authorities said that the boy was struck in the head several times over several months in 2014. Wilson did not seek medical care for the child. The toddler was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of abuse. Williams faces up to 32 years to life and Wilson faces up to 15 years to life. Sentencing is scheduled for July 221st.
