VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A male pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday night.
At around 10:40 p.m., a motorist called 911 to report that a pedestrian had been struck and was injured. Rescue personnel responded to the scene to near the intersection of Seventh Street and Desert Knoll Drive and located the gray passenger vehicle. Deputies learned that the vehicle was driving south on Seventh Street when it struck a passenger walking on Seventh Street.
The vehicle remained at the scene for the investigation. The pedestrian was taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The cause of the collision is under investigation at this time. Seventh Street near Desert Knoll Drive was closed for several hours for the investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor for the driver of the vehicle.
