VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A 58-year-old Victorville man was arrested for the abuse of a 75-year-old female victim.
On August 22, 2019, at around 10:11 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station responded to the 11700 block of Vista Verde Street in the City of Victorville. Ira Green lives at the home and takes care of his elderly uncle and the elderly female victim.
Victorville Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that it was reported that green was drinking alcohol and got angry about not getting any help around the house. “He began yelling at the wheelchair bound victim and hit her with a metal tumbler she had been holding,” Rodriguez said. “He continued to yell at the victim and threaten harm, while deputies were en route to the incident.”
Green was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for Elderly Abuse. While Green was being booked at the jail, he refused to follow deputy instructions. He also assaulted a deputy while resisting commands. He was booked on additional charges of assault on a Peace officer and resisting/obstructing.
