PINON HILLS – A Pinon Hills man was arrested for a bus stop attack at a bus stop located at the intersection of Bellflower Road and Chamberlaine Avenue in the City of Adelanto.
On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at around 10:03 p.m. deputies received a call from a local hospital regarding a 31-year-old patient they were treating for multiple injuries. The patient, a Pinon Hills resident told hospital staff that he was physically assaulted at an Adelanto bus stop. He said that as he was waiting for the bus a red Chevpickupup pulled up. Adrian Diffendaffer, 28, who is known to the victim exited the vehicle with an aluminum bat. The victim said that the bat-wielding suspect threatened to kill the victim.
“Diffendaffer then hit the victim in the face, shoulder arm and stomach with the bat,” Victor Valley Sheriff’s officials said. “The victim said he passed out and when he woke he took public transportation to the hospital. He was being treated for injuries, including a fractured rib.” Diffendaffer and the red Chevy pick-up was located in the 10300 block of Mountain Road in Pinon Hills. He was booked into the High Desert Center the assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Friday, August 3, 2018.
