PINON HILLS – A Pinon Hills woman was arrested for the murder of her 2 ½-year-old son on Friday. Authorities said that emergency medical personnel responded to the home in the 10300 block of Wintergreen Road at around 4:15 p.m. on Friday for the report of a drowning. When they arrived the transported the toddler to Desert Valley Hospital, where despite lifesaving efforts he was pronounced deceased.
Due to inconsistencies of the described incident and the injuries the child sustained, law enforcement was called. Sheriff’s Homicide and Crimes Against Children Investigators responded and interviewed Crystal Green, 30. Following the interview, Green was arrested for the murder of her son and Green’s three other children were taken into protective custody.
