PINON HILLS – A Phelan man and woman were arrested on Saturday evening following a traffic stop.
At around 7:30 p.m. the deputy stopped the vehicle for vehicle code violations in the area of the Chevron Service Station on Highway 138 and Mountain Road in Pinon Hills. During the stop, the deputy noticed that both the driver and the passenger appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Both suspects, Alan Cascarini, 29, and Chelzi Seaman, 25, were arrested. Cascarini initially provided a false name to the deputy, but was later identified and found to be on Parole. Cascarini was also found to have a no bail warrant.
When searching the vehicle, the deputy located two firearms and a Building Inspector’s Badge. Cascarini and Seaman were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center.
