HEMET – Hemet Police are searching for the assailants involved in the recent attack of a male juvenile on Monday night.
At around 9:10 p.m. police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Mustang Way where a juvenile was reported to be injured as a result of an assault. When they arrived, the juvenile was gone and officers learned that family transported him to the hospital.
Through investigation, authorities learned that the victim was walking with friends when 30-40 juveniles confronted them. Four of the male subjects from the group assaulted the victim causing him to fall to the ground. The assailants kicked the victim in the head causing him to lose consciousness. He regained consciousness a short time later and asked someone to call his family to transport him to the hospital.
“We know there are plenty of witnesses who stood by and watched this attack,” said Chief Dave Brown. “We are asking they do the right thing and come forward and assist us with identifying the suspects.” Anyone who witnessed the crime is asked to call Detective Alvarez at 951-765-2426.
