LEBEC, Ca. – Kern County Sheriff’s officials believe that two burglaries and other thefts were committed by the same suspect(s).
On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at around 5:22 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a Jack in the Box located at 73 Frazier Mountain Park Road in Lebec regarding the report of a vandalism. When they arrived at the business they located a United Rentals forklift that was crashed into the side of the Jack in the Box lobby area. The suspect vandalized items inside of the business and stole around $600. There was major damage to the structure. The forklift was returned to the owner at the scene.
Hours later, at 9:54 a.m. deputies were dispatched to China Red House, located at 223 Frazier Mountain Park Road in Lebec regarding a burglary. When they arrived they learned that the front glass doors at the business was damaged and around $500 had been stolen. Authorities believe that the burglaries occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. The vehicle the suspect was a 2019 Dodge Ram 250, California license plate 31920R2. The vehicle was determined to be stolen out of Bakersfield and remains outstanding at this time.
The suspect is a white or Hispanic male with a medium build wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, blue undershirt, blue jeans with dark colored belt, and tan boots.
