Waterloo Region, Ontario (Canada) – Police are investigating the rape of a 4-year-old girl in the Waterloo Region of Ontario, Canada.
On Saturday, July 6, 2019, in Kitchener, which is West of Toronto the small girl was playing at around 8:00 p.m. A white male adult who was around 5’10” tall with a medium build approached her in a common area of the apartment building. He sexually assaulted the girl, who was later taken to the hospital. The child has since been released from the hospital.
According to CBC News, in Canada, the Ontario Special Investigation Unit reported that the Waterloo Regional Police Service has the highest number of sexual assault reports compared to the six other Ontario police with similar populations.
Police said that there will be an increase in police presence in the area. They also said members of the Major Crime unit, Detectives and Forensic have been and will continue to investigate.
