POMONA – Officers from the Pomona Police department responded to shots fired in the 2600 block of North Garvey on Wednesday. The report was made at around 2:00 a.m. when the reporting party told dispatchers gunfire was heard from an apartment. When they arrived they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was airlifted to the hospital in critical, but stable condition. Authorities believe others were at home at the time of the shooting but left the scene before the officers arrived. Police are asking that anyone who witnessed anything pertaining to the case to contact the detectives.
