RIVERSIDE – On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 20, 2016, officers from Riverside County Animal Services responded to a report of animal hoarding and neglect. When they arrived at the unincorporated Riverside County home, they found approximately 30 poorly cared for dogs, most emaciated and at least six already deceased.
The home is located in the La Sierra area south of the 91 freeway Riverside County Animal Service officials said. The incident is still actively being investigated and officers remain on scene. The owners of the property were not at the scene when officers arrived.
