RIVERSIDE – An Encore High School for Arts teacher was arrested for illegal sexual conduct with a minor student officials said. The investigation was sparked by allegations of lewd conduct upon a female student by a high school teacher identified as Camryn Zelinger.
Authorities said that the victim disclosed to officers that there had been a relationship between the two during the past few months. Through investigation, evidence was found to corroborate the student’s allegations of inappropriate physical contact and communication between the teacher and the student.
The 32-year-old teacher, a Corona woman was arrested at the high school on Monday, February 6, 2017, and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for lewd or lascivious acts with a minor and annoying or molesting a child under 18 years of age. “Encore High School for the Arts has fully cooperated with the investigation and have stated the teacher is no longer employed with them,” said Riverside Police officials in a written statement.
