RIVERSIDE – A vehicle burglary suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon after Riverside police were alerted to his whereabouts.
At around 5:20 p.m. a detective notified police that he spotted a burglary suspect near the Riverside Plaza, located in the 3500 block of Central Avenue. The detective followed until officers arrived, during which time they conducted a traffic stop.
The officers searched the suspect and the suspect vehicle finding drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and stolen mail. Shawn Childress, a 43-year-old Riverside man was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for burglary.
