RIVERSIDE – Two people were injured after an apparent Sunday morning attack, officials said. At around 2:37 a.m. the Riverside Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of University Avenue reference a report of shots fired. When they arrived minutes later they located a man and a woman in a parking lot suffering from injuries.
Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment, the male with a gunshot wound and the female with blunt force injuries. The man is in stable but critical condition and the woman is in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing and the detectives are asking that anyone with information about the incident contacts Detectives Brandi Merrill at 951-353-7238 or Detective Jeff Putnam at 951-826-5375.
