RIVERSIDE – A Wednesday morning traffic stop led the Riverside Police to stolen credit cards, checks, mail and ID’s, officials said. At around 11:15 a.m. as an officer was stopped at a railroad track on Madison Street at Casa Blanca Street. While stopped, the officer witnessed a green Honda drive passed the stopped traffic into the right turn lane to continue straight .
The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver later identified as 36-year-old Riverside resident, Angela Vandiver admitted that she was driving on a suspended license. They told her to get out of the car and as she did, several gift cards and credit cards were in her seat.
Police continued to search and located several pieces of stolen mail. They also located two checks totaling over $10,000 from a local business, a social security card, several more credit cards and burglary tools.
Vandiver was arrested and booked into jail for possession of stolen property, burglary tools, and driving on a suspended license.
