SAN BERNARDINO – Far too often the senseless San Bernardino homicides are viewed in numbers, #41 was the number of the 21-year-old woman gunned down as she was driving near the 1400 block of East Date Street Wednesday night.
To the family of Jaemiah Trammel she was so much more than #41, she was their daughter, sister, cousin, and niece. The death of Jaemiah, one woman, like all the other recent victims touches the lives of dozens who loved them.
Jaemiah’s cousin, Devonte Kilgore told a 24/7 Headline News reporter that Jaemiah was an active church member and a hard working woman. Friends say that her smile could light up a room and her laugh was contagious. Her mother, Clorea Young is now left to mourn the loss of her second daughter, with her oldest daughter dying while giving birth several years ago.
The family was told that Jaemiah was dating a man who had gang affiliations and that she was somehow shot in retaliation. As of Thursdays morning, authorities confirm that no arrest has been made. Police are seeking information from the public, if anyone knows anything they are urged to call Detective Munoz at (909) 384-5630 or Sgt. Sullivan at (909) 384-5615.
