WOODCREST – A Rubidoux man was arrested for the kidnapping and rape of a juvenile girl that he met on social media authorities said. On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the parents from the Woodcrest area, just south of the City of Riverside reported that their daughter told them she was sexually assaulted by the man.
Perris Station detectives took over the investigation and the following day they were able to identify the suspect as 22-year-old Jose Cesar Diaz.
Diaz was arrested for kidnapping with the intent to commit rape, oral copulation with a child under 14 and sexual assault of a child under the age of 14. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail. Authorities believe that there may be other juveniles victimized by the suspect.
