SAN BERNARDINO, Ca. – The assistant superintendent of San Bernardino City Schools was arrested on Friday for possession and distribution of child pornography.
The investigation into the illegal activities being conducted by Perry Wiseman, 42, of Highland, began on Thursday, August 15, 2019. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Crimes Against Children Division investigated a tip that they received about Wiseman, a San Bernardino City Unified School District employee. Wiseman currently have been working as the assistant superintendent with non-instructional administrative duties. Wiseman has limited interactions with students and authorities said that the images investigated appear to be from the internet and do not appear to be students of the district.
Wiseman was arrested at his home in the 7400 block of Tuolumne Lane in the City of Highland. He was booked into the Central Detention Center and was later transferred to the West Valley Detention Center for possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. He is scheduled to appear at the San Bernardino Superior Court on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
“Wiseman, assistant superintendent of Human Resources, has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation,” San Bernardino City Unified School District officials in a written statement. “Due to confidentiality laws and to ensure the integrity of the investigation, additional information will not be released.”
