SAN BERNARDINO – A 44-year-old San Bernardino man was arrested for elderly abuse after allegedly striking and threatening two women in his home on Tuesday.
Police responded to the home on the 6100 Block of Merito Avenue. While en route they were advised that there were rifles inside the home. Thay would not cooperate with law enforcement demands leading deputies to facilitate PA announcements ordering him to exit the home.
Thay called dispatch, after speaking with dispatchers he refused to exit the home. Thay eventually cooperated with authorities and was taken into custody without further incidence. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for felony elder abuse and terrorist threats.
It is unclear how the suspect knew the victims. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
