ADELANTO – A 64-year-old San Bernardino woman lost her life after her vehicle overturned on US-395 in Adelanto on Tuesday morning. At around 9:45 a.m. the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and San Bernardino County Fire Department medics responded to the area of CA-395 and mile marker 35.5 (north of Shadow Mountain). When they arrived they located a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer overturned with a woman inside.
CHP officials said that the woman was traveling northbound on CA-395, when for reasons that remain under investigation she lost control of her vehicle, the vehicle left the roadway, and overturned. Despite life-saving efforts, including CPR, the woman died at the scene as a result of her injuries. The identity of the deceased woman has not been released so that the family can first be notified. The collision remains under investigation by the CHP.
