FONTANA – Many families with children being treated at Loma Linda University Medical Clinic depend on the services provided by an organization called Megan’s Wings in order to provide them with a temporary place to stay while their children undergo necessary treatment.
On Wednesday Fontana Police officers from the Crime Prevention Unit and hospital staff assisted Megan’s Wings by visiting the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Loma Linda University Medical Clinic and the Pediatric Unit and PICU at Kaiser Hospital Fontana. One of the officers dressed as Santa to provide a toy to each patient.
Megan’s wings gladly accept donations from the community in order to continue providing services to assist families during the difficult and costly time in their lives.
