WOODCREST – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit is investigating a Saturday afternoon stabbing that left one man dead, officials said. At around 1:22 p.m. deputies from the Perris station and Cal Fire personnel responded to a home on the 18000 block of Hibiscus Avenue to find  45-year-old Riverside resident, Michael Miller Jr. suffering from stab wounds in the backyard of the home.

Miller died as a result of his injuries, which sparked a homicide investigation. The incident remains under investigation and Sheriff’s officials are asking that anyone with information contacts Investigator Jared Bishop of the Central Homicide Unit at (951) 955-2777, or Investigator Tom Salisbury of the Perris Station at (951) 210-1000.
