SAN JACINTO – A sexual predator was arrested early Wednesday morning after nearby residents complained of his presence in their neighborhood. The San Jacinto police were conducting surveillance in response to the reports and at around 5:30 a.m. located a man with a matching description.
Authorities said that the Hispanic man, later identified as 46-year-old Ramon Rojas, a San Jacinto resident was looking into windows of a home on the 300 block of Hazeldell Avenue. The officers made contact with Rojas and arrested him for “peeping” into an inhabited dwelling and a violation of probation for the same offense.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department would like to remind the public to secure doors and windows whenever possible. To be aware of subjects loitering in the area, while making note of clothing or vehicles associated with those subjects.
This is an active investigation and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Investigator Porrazzo at the Hemet Sheriff’s Station (951) 791-3400. Information can also be reported anonymously at www.riversidesheriff.org/crimetips or www.wetip.com .
