CORONA – Police are investigating a shooting that left two men injured on Thursday.
At around 1:24 a.m. police responded to the 2400 block of Palisades Drive for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived they located four victims, two uninjured and the other two suffering from gunshot wounds. A good Samaritan who heard the shots fired provided aid to the victims until authorities and emergency medical personnel arrived. The injured 21 and 22-year-old men were rushed to a local hospital and they are listed in stable condition.
The shooting remains under investigation and detectives are interviewing witnesses and the victims who are from the San Diego area. Detectives have learned that the victims went to Corona to meet with the suspects for unknown reasons. It is unclear why the suspects fired gunshots at this time. Police are gathering information about the suspects, but one was only described as a black man in his 20’s to 30’s.
