TEMECULA – A Temecula man and woman were arrested following the report of a theft at a retail store in the 18000 block of Colier Avenue on Tuesday. At around 4:30 p.m. the Special Enforcement Team of the Lake Elsinore Police Department were flagged down by the store’s loss prevention officers.
The loss prevention officers described the male suspect, who took electronics from the store concealing them in his clothing. The suspect was located leaving the store. When officers made contact with the suspect, the items were found in his possession. As the male subject, later identified as 48-year-old Christopher Franklin was arrested for the theft and probation violation officers noticed 31-year-old Erin Mackinzie also attempting to leave the store.
Officers made contact with Mackinzie, who was wanted and arrested for felony warrants for robbery and possession of stolen property. Franklin and Mackinzie were booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
