VICTORVILLE – A well-love single mother died Friday evening after a head-on collision on Monte Vista Road south of La Mesa Road. Just after 5:25 p.m. emergency medical personnel responded to a 2-vehicle traffic collision between a gray 2013 Mazda 3 and a white 2016 BMW sedan.
When they arrived they located a female driver, identified as 33-year-old Pamela Williams, trapped inside of the Mazda. Williams was extricated and medics at the scene determined she would need immediate medical attention due to the severity of her injuries. She was transported to Desert Valley Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries at 6:43 p.m.
The female driver of the BMW was also transported to the hospital for the complaints of pain, but as of Saturday afternoon the extent of her injuries remain unclear. Through investigation, it was learned that the Mazda was traveling northbound on Monte Vista Road, north of Olivine Road, when for reasons that remain investigation the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane colliding with the BMW.
