DESERT HOT SPRINGS – A male suspect was arrested following a home invasion robbery and shooting early Saturday morning authorities said.
At around 6:45 a.m. Desert Hot Springs Police responded to the 9700 block of Vista Del Valle in Desert Hot Springs for the report of a home invasion robbery and shooting. When the officer arrived they located an adult male suspect fleeing the scene on a motorcycle. The officers attempted to stop the motorcycle but the suspect continued to flee. Police from numerous agencies pursued the vehicle through multiple cities until he was ultimately arrested in Palm Springs.
The victim of the home invasion robbery and shooting sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in critical condition. He was booked into jail for attempted murder, home invasion robbery, carjacking, and other related charges.
