HIGHLAND – A Highland woman was at her home in the 27000 block of Fisher Street Highland at around 11:30 a.m. on Christmas day when she heard a knock on her door. The person at the door continued to knock, so the female victim walked toward the front door. The suspect, an unknown white male adult, forced his way into the home as the victim attempted to close the door. The suspect then rammed the woman’s head into the wall multiple times causing her to fall to the ground.
Without taking anything, the suspect fled the location on foot. The woman called authorities, but they were unable to locate the suspect. The male suspect is described as white, 6’00” tall, 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray sweater, an orange reflective vest and an unknown color hat. Residents in the area said that a man with a matching description has been seen walking in the Palm and Pacific Avenue area numerous times recently.
The victim suffered only minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Highland Police Department at (909) 425-9793. Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call 1-800-78-CRIME or online at www.wetip.com.
