SAN BERNARDINO – A 14-year-old female pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit and run vehicle early Friday morning.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials said that at around 7:10 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018, a driver of a black or tan older model GMC SUV was driving eastbound in the #2 lane on Pacific Street near Glasgow Avenue. The driver is believed to be driving around 40-50 miles per hour. The teen pedestrian was walking north in the marked crosswalk on Pacific Street at Glasgow Avenue. The SUV failed to yield to the pedestrian and struck her.
The female pedestrian sustained traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead in the hospital at 1:26 p.m. The driver of the SUV was described as a Black or Hispanic woman, wearing eyeglasses, brown hair, and heavyset. The CHP believes that the SUV in the photo may have possibly been involved in the collision. The SUV is believed to have front-end damage as a result of the collision
