SAN BERNARDINO, Ca. – Three additional San Bernardino County firefighters, for a total of five, have tested positive for COVID-19.
On Saturday, April 4, 2020, the incident Commander of San Bernardino County’s All Hazard Regional Incident Management Team (IMT) was notified about the test results. The three firefighters are from the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District and the Daggett Fire Department. The firefighters self-isolated once they were exposed and displayed symptoms. All of the five firefighters are doing well and are recovering at home without the need for hospitalization.
The IMT has identified a return-to-work flow path for those firefighters who previously tested positive so that they can return to work without contributing to the spread of the virus.
