BARSTOW, Ca. – Three suspects were arrested as a result of the robbery of a Circle K in Barstow on Thursday.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m. Corporal Jose Barrientos was patrolling when he noticed a blue sedan with no lights. The sedan pulled into an apartment complex on the 500 block of North Yucca Avenue. As he initiated the traffic stop, he heard that there was a robbery that has just occurred at the Circle K, so he diverted to that call. As he diverted to the robbery call, he noticed that there were two females inside the blue vehicle with no lights.
Following the initial broadcast regarding the robbery, vehicle information was also given. Corporal Barrientos returned to the apartment complex to relocate the blue sedan. One of the females was near the vehicle, who was detained without incident. When he looked in the backseat of the sedan. In the backseat he noticed clothing and a hat that matched the description of what the robbery suspect was wearing. Upon further inspection he found a shotgun next to the clothing.
The second female was found hiding in the apartment complex and was also taken into custody. The female suspects were identified as Ariel Myles and Tanyalee Riddle. Evidence connecting both women to the sedan was located.
Through investigation, police learned that the male suspect went into the store, pointed a shotgun at the clerk, and demanded money from the register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash he fled from the store. The clerk provided a physical description of the suspect and of his clothing. Further investigation revealed that the robbery suspect was Jerrionne Jackson, of San Bernardino.
A photo of Jackson was obtained and broadcasted to all officers patrolling the area. A detective in the area located a male matching the description was located walking in the 700 block of E. Mountain View Street. The deputy made contact with the male and confirmed that he was the suspect.
Officers conducted an in-field show up and the witnesses positively identified Jackson as the person who robbed Circle K.
Detective Arias arrested Jackson and subsequently booked him at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Barstow Jail for PC 211 –Robbery.
Officers also arrested Ariel Myles and Tanyalee Riddle and booked them at the Barstow Police Department for PC 211- Robbery and PC 182- Criminal Conspiracy.
