FONTANA, Ca. – An overnight shooting and stabbing that left three injured in the City of Fontana, Police said.
On Saturday, October 5, 2019, at around 1:00 a.m., an officer patrolling the area of Cherry and Banana heard shots fired from a nearby area. The officer noticed a Cadillac Deville fleeing the area shortly after at a high rate of speed. The officer pursued the vehicle. The driver rammed into a patrol vehicle, disabling it.
The vehicle continued on, eventually losing his right front wheel on the Citrus overpass at the I-10 freeway. The driver, Jose Quintanar, 30, was found to have a stab wound to his abdomen. During the investigation, two other people were located and found to have gunshot wounds. Detectives discovered a separate victim who had checked himself into a local hospital for gunshot wounds to his leg.
The injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment, one in stable condition and two in critical condition.
After further investigating, the passenger in the Cadillac Deville was David Corral, 26, he is identified as the shooter. No additional suspects are outstanding in this case. Investigations responded and took over the investigation which is currently on going.
