VICTORVILLE, Ca. – The City of Victorville announced on Wednesday that three City of Victorville Fire Department personnel have been quarantined.

The three firefighters and an ambulance crew have been quarantined out of an “abundance of caution” after they responded to a 911 call to assist a patient who displayed COVID-19 symptoms. The patient was tested for COVID-19, as a result, the doctor recommended that the emergency responders be quarantined as a precautionary measure. The firefighters and are being tested for the virus at this time.

This situation underscores the importance of how everybody should consider their conduct relating to this virus,” said Sue Jones, the Victorville public information officer. “If you exhibit symptoms, don’t call 9-1-1.  Instead, utilize phone, teledoctor and online resources first before calling 9-1-1.”
